PostgreSQL is awesome. Over the last day I've gone from "this query is clearly infeasible without serious preparatory work on the data model" to "maybe I can get it down to less than ten seconds or so" to "benchmarked at half a second with production data". And this is with all the data involved basically being piles of JSON!

Accidentally spent a chunk of today learning how to do Rust packaging for #Debian. I haven't actually got round to learning the language yet, so err, cart before the horse much? But some bits of fixing Python packaging are getting too hard to do without it.
