You ever think deeply about war?
War is not only the things we can describe, but it is also like an infectious disease. It spreads when others touch it.
Two sides fight. An ally of one side gives weapons. The oppo threatens the ally. The oppo sends soldiers. The ally threatens the oppo and sends soldiers of their own.
War is like two violent drunks getting into an argument. You know it's gonna escalate. You know the others who are hanging around will get involved.
War is not just soldiers on bloodied fields. It is information, a spy network, a massive manufacturing process where weapons are made, bought and sold through any color market from black to white.
War is a windfall for elections and the wealthy. The spread of nameless death has the greedy rubbing their hands together.
The infectious disease of war is like the encroachment of hell on Earth, and souls are being sold on the open market.

Peoples attention span really has gone off a cliff.
Whenever I send an email to a client addressing 2 topics, they only ever read and answer the 1st one.
It's probably the most frustrating thing, work-involved, that I have to deal with.
I can always send 2 separate emails, but I have to space them apart, otherwise they'll miss the 2nd one. So it's the same issue.

Hi AI: Please create an image of Trump looking like a good person.
20 hours later.
AI: Well, we tried but we used up all the water resources in Arizona. The server overheated and crashed and Phoenix is without water. FEMA is on the way.

What really blows my mind is the blatant paradox for a significant portion of our society.
The paradox being "anti-woke is the smart decision".
Just no. Being stupid by choice is not smart. It doesn't work that way.
We see what these decisions do to businesses and financial institutions. We see all the time what happens to drivers on the road who make dumb moves.
You can't make the country (or the world) a better place by refusing to move forward... or by going backwards.
There is no place for the anti-woke in solving the big problems that face this country. They don't have the job qualifications.

Ever wonder why so many TV series and movies (& tons of Anime too!) have the church and/or government behind a nefarious plot line?
I'll bet that's now gonna stick around in your brain for a while. 😉

I'll also have to use a heat gun to help bend the spring nubs as close as possible to their original position.
Then I'll have to pay $70 for two small metal parts, only available from Honda, so I can take everything apart again on that side (in a couple weeks) and rebuild it properly. What a pain.
Man, people suck.
This wouldn't be such a priority if I lived in a flat area, but I have to think about protecting the old transmission with lots of miles on it. Parking on steep slopes has resulted in it banging into gear before.

My latest project on my project car is rebuilding the brakes. All of it except the calipers. Even the parking brake and cables. So I figured I'd do the back first since the parking brake is integrated into the same rotor as the regular brakes. It's the old style with all those weird springs and stuff.
I got everything apart and was confused. Where was the parking brake? Nothing was there. When I inspected it, a former idiot had removed it, cut the cable and welded it to the backing plate. Then for some unfathomable reason he bent the little metal nubs on the big metal nub that hold the upper springs all to shit.
So now I'll have to cobble together a temporary solution. I'll run both cables and wire-tie the one with the missing p-brake in place, leaving it unconnected. Then I'll (also temporarily) replace the inner connector which ties the handbrake to the cable so it will work for only the drivers side (which was still there thankfully).

I expect when you're dehydrated, hungry and have no place to live because a climate fueled event took it all away from you... politics won't seem so important anymore.

Major record labels (and also online streaming companies) can shove it. They are responsible for millions of talented artists never getting a chance.
The Internet Archive is doing a service. Record companies, online streaming was only about money, not music.
And companies for AI, Verizon, Google, etc... who have access to teraflops of personal data and artist media are just as guilty.

Helene was a $95-$110 billion dollar disaster. Government won't be able to foot the cleanup and recovery bill for many of these for long. And more climate related disasters are sure to come with increasing frequency.
Climate change will overturn all illusions of prosperity in the coming years and both the government and the corporations will have to wake up to reality.

If we promote policy governed by a past culture, full of ignorance, blatant racism and sexism, that is not conservative. That is regressive.
Having a mindset that embraces those old ways is devolving.
There is no growth and no need for intelligence when moving backwards. Just repeat the actions of the past. They are already there.
It is a fatal laziness.
Because those were the times when most of what is currently destroying our culture, the economy and the Earth was created, in ignorance of their effect.
To progress and evolve, we must learn from history, not repeat it.

Leaders who sanction war for any reason other than a legitimate defense of their own country are nothing but mass murderers... corrupt, and on a vengeful tirade.
The most abominable weakness is to order others to kill, and die for you.
A true leader would be at the front of the first line of defense. A sniveling coward would be at a desk, pushing paperwork to legitimize mass murder in the name of greed, power and politics.
