I am ambivalent at best about the carbon tax.

No, it does not cause inflation or tooth decay as PP would have folks believe.

But it also doesn't really do very much about the #climatecrisis either. Legislative, regulatory and programmatic change would accomplish much more.

The carbon tax is a neo-liberal "we done something about the climate crisis" policy.

Poillievre speaks of the higher GDP per capita in the US than Canada. That is true.

However it is a question of how that GDP is distributed between residents of the two countries, and the distribution in Canada is much better (even though it is far from perfect).
