Fremont's non-alcoholic "IPA" is tasty. I hear the dark beer is not far from Dark Star, but I haven't seen it in Colorado.

There are valid uses for type hints. I've seen it catch subtle bugs. But mostly it's virtue signalling. Users expect it and will drag you for being a dinosaur if you don't provide it, even if they're not really practicing type correctness in their own projects.

I'm reminding myself why I've resisted adding type hints to Python projects. I've got perfectly good code and have to jump through multiple hoops and inflate the code size to make it "correct".

Tonight it's homemade pesto pasta for dinner, with frozen pesto pucks from the deep freezer. Basil, garlic, and cashew. I can't find Mediterranean pignons anywhere, and the risk of "pine mouth" from Chinese sources is real.

The MapClick.php app is telling me to prepare for -26 °C (-15 °F) Monday night https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=40.56&lon=-105.07. It doesn't get much colder than that here, but it does in the river valleys to the east.
