I'm actually astonished at how inaccessible most help desk ticket/knowledge base software is. A knowledge base is essentially just a bunch of text content with maybe a few disclosure widgets and a search input and most major vendors can't even get that right!

Not sure if anyone else is a Stormlight archive fan but yesterday I had a Taravangian moment, I added 5 new features to the code base with a net gain of less than 100 lines of code since I was able to refactor/delete so many other things. I doubt I'll ever see another day so productive again 😂
also why 'most lines of code' is a completely terrible and useless metric

Feeling really pissed that we've all just exponentially increased our carbon footprint by existing on the internet. It sucks that no matter how much I personally try to reduce my consumption, TechServiceIHaveToUseForWork will undo automatically that by generating AI summaries, starter comments and using my human-written words to train itself.
If it takes 1 water bottles worth of water to generate 100 words, I wonder how many water bottles I've wasted in a day just working.

Is there anything more annoying than the fact that after a long period of time paused, Youtube videos no longer pick up where you left off, instead they play for a few seconds before jumping back 10ish seconds and resuming 'seamlessly', creating an ouroboros of a sentence

I get it, for security bugs you need to incentivize the other parties to not use that information for ilicit gain, but I do think it says something about how differently people perceive the two. Loss of income from getting hacked? Disastrous, company ruining. Loss of income from disabled people not being able to use the site? Eh.
