As has become tradition (particularly after a really long wait for takeout Chinese one year), homemade pizza for New Year's Eve. I went with onion, green pepper, long hot Portuguese peppers, and hot soppressata for mine.
New ovens don't seem to get quite as hot as the old ones, sadly.

I'm not quite as old as today's haul from the used vinyl spot might suggest. Their inventory didn't exactly skew recent (of course, I got all of this for about what 3 or 4 modern releases on vinyl would cost, so there's that, too.)

Nightsky770 over on Github had gone through the effort of making a LaTeX layout for actually printing the text (although I did edit that to resize everything down to a format where I'd actually be able to print the bookcloth for covers, that being the point for me), but the cover design and the endpapers are both mine, building on some public domain imagery of the Red Fort of Agra, which features in the plot of the story.

Bookbinding project wrapped up (well, except for spending a bit more time in the press and drying, which will straighten up some the bit of waviness on the endpapers.)
This was mostly an experiment in printing bookcloth (finicky, but possible), practice making "common made" endpapers, and doing a rounded Bradel binding (a technique for forming the body of the book and making the outer case/covers.)

Mixed up a batch of @altonbrown's clarified milk punch recipe for Christmas Eve this year. Very tasty (one of my college-senior kids really liked it, too). That plus Christmas had me skew slightly into Victoriana to grab a photo. The sweet is a Florentine bar—almonds and candied orange peel in caramel on a shortbread crust drizzled with chocolate.

Another night of prep. This was taken as I was about to trim that big slab of Florentine bars in the background down into individual cookies. The dram's an expression I haven't had before from a distillery that's a nostalgic thing for me: Mortlach 21 Special Release 2020, cask strength at 56.9%ABV.
