Bending elbow irritates nerve. Physical therapist tapes up elbow, it irritates a different nerve. She tapes the shoulder, nerve problem eases up, but now the front of my shoulder is going to shit. Lifting my arm hurts. Lying down hurts. I must now choose between shoulder pain and nerve pain. I choose shoulder pain. Tonight, body hits me with both. This sucks 🫠😖

How does one bring comfort to someone who only sees their impending doom/loss of rights? Words can’t ease that sort of pain. I would have to move the entire world. I would if I could.

Sometimes that person is me, sometimes that person is a friend or stranger on the internet.

The future of the Sun. According to what I’ve read, the sun is barely massive enough to create a visible planetary nebula when it dies. Here, I’ve drawn our sun in death. At that time, our galaxy will have merged with the Andromeda galaxy, and the sun’s core will be just hot enough to ionize the layers blown off during thermal pulsing.

I’ve imagined the sun’s planetary nebula would be red because of this.

With one star’s end, hundreds of others began- including the one that gives us all life and warmth. The star whose supernova triggered the formation of the Solar System is estimated to have been at least 30 solar masses- probably enough mass to make an initial neutron star that then became a black hole. There is much uncertainty about the sun’s parent star, but it inspired this sketch on my phone.

Listening to Nintendo Music and seeing which areas and songs from Metroid Prime seemed familiar, and… apparently I got rather close to beating the whole game 😵‍💫 I remember playing it when I was about 16, but my GameCube was acting up at the time and I couldn’t play it for very long before the console crashed.

Has anyone ever given thought as to how somatic flashbacks work? I have some dating back to a trauma from about 25 years ago. I’ve been trying to figure out how to hold space for them and heal them. I’m thinking the nerves in the rest of the body remember just as well as the grey matter in our heads, because it’s all neurons. Best thing I can do at the moment is to hold ice to the part of my head where they occur.
