• yes, this was the best pic of myself I could find

I like that artists are now sending out messages/announcements/releases/.. more than a week before #bandcamp friday, not on the day itself. It makes it possible to listen through some new stuff and decides which ones to grab.

munin-node fails to start when binding to "host *" when ipv6 is disabled via sysctl. fix is to let it bind to "host 127.0.0.1" then it will not try ipv6.

a gitlab server I use is misconfigured and times out when connecting via ipv6, resulting weirdly long git pulls/push operations from work (which has the fast internet) but not from home (which has slower internet). disabled ipv6 at work and on my experiment vm

my manjaro install took 20s to decrypt FDE, because cryptsetup/luks estimates the number of iterations performed by checking how many it can do in ~1second. Unfortunately, it does this when the system is booted, but by default the installer sets up grub to decrypt, which does not use hardware acceleration.

not entirely sure about that one, but reducing the iterations worked
