The judge for this case is Steffan Alexander and the defendant is charged with criminal trespass in the second degree.
During pretrial motions the DA made it sound like their argument will be that the parking garage is not open to the public.

ran into Jimenez as I was going to the bathroom so I expect him to testify for the State. He was one of, if not THE, most violent cop that day. He is a Portland State University campus police officer and has countless complaints against him filed by students. He's one of those cops that you can tell is especially thirsty for blood.

Trial for a defendant from Portland State University today.
They finished up pre trial motions and are about to start jury selection.
This case is from a few weeks after the library was raided in May of 2024. Two students chained themselves to the admin building on campus and were quickly forcibly removed and arrested by campus police. During these arrests Officer Jimenez ripped off a students hijab before throwing them into a police car.
In response to this, the very next day students came back to chain themselves to the building again. After police assaulted and arrested those chained to the building, students and community members went to the side of the admin building where the parking garage is. They went over there to attempt to block the police cars that had the arrestees in them. Some students sat on the ground in front of and behind the police vehicles, while others formed a line and linked arms blocking the entrance/exit to the garage.
The response from law enforcement was one of the most brutal responses from law enforcement in Portland I had seen in quite some time. This was the same day campus police broke a students ribs, tore someones ACL who then had to get surgery , and put at least 3 people in the hospital.
You might remember this as the day one of the responding officers had a heart attack moments after assaulting students. I have a thread with coverage from this day somewhere on here but I can't currently find and link to that.

Last night Turning Point USA had an event planned at University of Washington. Antifascists showed up to disrupt the event by setting off the fire alarms right as the event started. Event goers had to evacuate the building twice, and one of their speakers, Olivia Krolczyk, was unable to give her speech lol.

At least 5 arrests tonight. Cops pushed an elderly person so hard against the window you could hear the bang. They then piled on top of them after already going down to the ground.
They were just walking on the sidewalk. Someone else was trying to get out of their way when they got grabbed and they were just walking with a sign.
This all happened seconds after one single tag went up. Shortly after state troopers were accompanied by PPB. The police presence was pretty massive

Small march took off from the rally happening at waterfront downtown. Within 10 minutes state troopers started arresting random people quite violently. People that were standing on the sidewalk got grabbed and thrown into walls, shoved to the ground. One person who was already detained by a state trooper got punched in the face by another state trooper.

Towards the end of the night a trash can with something on fire in it got dragged over near the building. DHS police ended up dragging to the front door and struggled as they attempted to fit it through lol

At one point the feds attempted to retrieve a cardboard sign from someone and one of them fell and ended up shooting another fed who then proceeded to walk into his own mace

Noise demonstration at the ICE building in Portland last night. Smaller group of people showed up and judging by the response and fear the feds were pretty caught off guard. The entire night there was about 4 of them actively responding while a few of their buddies kept watch inside.

When bloodtribe marched with swastika flags the headlines were “look at these people dressed LIKE nazis”
Not too long ago we had that whole thing where everyone was saying the word “weird” as if words like “fascist” or “white supremacist” didn’t already exist that define these people.
Musk throws up a Roman salute on stage at the inauguration and journalists are calling it things like an “odd hand gesture.”
I can’t even say “say the quiet part out loud” because there’s nothing quiet about any of this. There hasn’t been for at least a decade.
