Reading an article in The Verge about how Google had to pull its "Dear Sydney" AI ad over backlash I noticed this: "At the heart of the issue, tech companies still struggle to read the room with regard to AI"
The the issue is not that they "fail to read the room", rather, they want to shove in AI everywhere to make us dependent on them, don't give a shit about anyone, and it's just their marketing depts (no doubt "AI powered" too) are not good enough to hide this.
