Yesterday was fun. we had warm temperatures ( 3c ). I had to drop my wife off to the airport for her travel ( which is usually an hour away ). then we had rain that turned into nice big fluffy snow so the drive turned into 2+hr drive. we still made it 2.5hrs before her scheduled departure. Then conveyer belt at baggage drop failed and staff had to stack bags from about 6 flights on the side causing us to wait in the line till about barely 10 mins before boarding time. thankfully wife made it on her flight just fine. still waiting for her to land on other end so I can figure out whether her bag actually made it over there or not. where I would have made it home by 6:30 after dropping her off, I managed to barely make it back by 10pm because while all this was happening, highways had turned into bit of skating rinks.
Thankfully today snowblower started on first pull and I was able to clear driveway in an hour or so. Just thought I would share couple of pictures of what it looks like when there is fresh snow on tree branches. I would like nothing better than to sit in an armchair by nice crackling fire with pot full of hot coffee and nice book by my side looking at forest full of trees covered in snow outside. But that is just not likely in suburbia... is it? :)

Had a long conversation with electrician today as he is starting the job of running wiring. I am going with surface mounted panel. workshop will have 200amps with another 200 amps going to the house once it's built. I will be pulling 2 cat6 cables thru conduit between home and shop. lots of outlets on the wall. each of the walls will have 2 x 220v outlets with each wall on it's own circuit. there are also 2 x 110v circuits on each wall as well.
Insulated garage door gets delivered next week.
