David Lynch's Dune (1984): Art by Ron Miller

I love how this film tried to recreate sci-fi novel cover art on screen. Maybe too ambitious for its time, but it's got a lot of nerve.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968): When the star gate was a hole.

Douglas Trumbull, SFX photographic supervisor: "There was a slot in one of Jupiter’s moons, and if you looked down through it, you’d see another universe on the other side. So it was as if the slot was a kind of time-space gate".

What about Silo seasons 3 & 4?

Showrunner Graham Yost: "We’re already filming [Season 3]. (...) We had finished writing Season 3 pretty much before the [2023] strike was called, and that’s while we were filming Season 2. And we’ve written all of Season 4".

So we shouldn't have to wait long to see the last two seasons of Silo arrive on AppleTV+.

Star Trek: Section 31 is now available on Paramount+.

This spin-off of Star Trek Discovery (It takes place after season 3, but way before season 3, it's complicated lol) is a TV movie, but also the first Trek film since Star Trek Beyond (2016).

And no, I haven't seen it, and I'm in no particular hurry to.
