EDIT: Found out what was wrong. It was because I had to read and agree to an updated license agreement... WHICH DID NOT LOAD WHILE I WAS IN VR.

Managed to finish Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (insofar as I beat the main game, anyway). There's a lot to like about it, but good gods the mine cart and rocket barrel stages just kill any desire I have to replay it. Feels like a case where Retro loved the original games TOO much.

The only thing worse than the mine carts in DKC Returns are those fucking rocket barrel sections. They must be a holdover from some waggle function in the original, and there's no margin for error with them. Fucking wretched.
