It's part of a larger trend and I'm hesitant to call it perfectionist or extremist.

We're burning down initiatives that are meaning well, and I begin to see it everywhere 'on the left'.

Environment: EV bad, only public transport and bikes are acceptable.

Energy: nuclear bad, only wind and solar are acceptable

But guess what? These sudden changes will never happen, and blocking transition is blocking the solution. People have to adapt and follow, or you lose them.

The ESP32(-S3) MCPWM only supports 3 timers per group, meaning you can use it for 3-phase stuff but forget about driving a stepper yourself... WHY?

Today I did a proof of concept of a PWM timer synced to a slower internal timer that generated an interrupt every n pulses. (ESP32-S3)

To test, I wanted to toggle a debugpin in the ISR so I could check the sync and jitter

Wasted half an hour fiddling with the internal timer ISR not working until I found out it was actually working, but I had the debugpin configured incorrectly.

Always on the lookout not to be hit by #tunnelvision and still manage to get caught

Discovered the whole BE eid middleware was awol and wouldn't even install anymore, nailed it down to libassuan0 not being available for most platforms on Debian sid...

Installed the version of bookworm manually and everything is up again.

A full upgrade of sid still wants to kick out virtualbox so unstable is really acting like it

Met de dochter naar de SID-in beurs in flexpo. Om het studeren in Gent gewoon te worden is er alvast een belabberde fietsinfrastructuur, dus staan ze all over the place 🙄

(FYI de SID-in beurs is een info beurs voor studie-richtingen)
