If you choose to see it on Thursday or Friday night, you could lose sight of it in the twilight glare. This is because it will "set" — or move below the horizon — only about 45 minutes after the Sun.

However, it may also appear brighter on those nights.

From the weekend onwards, it will appear higher in the sky and set an hour or more after the Sun.

"While I believe AI will not force policymakers and practitioners to rethink how teachers teach and students learn, nonetheless, as so many teachers have done in the past, they will adapt AI to fit the contours of their classrooms. And in doing so, AI may become just another item added to the list of previously hyped technological innovations that evoked initial gasps of delight and slowly became part of many teachers’ repertoires. Or maybe AI in classrooms will become just another footnote in a future doctoral student’s dissertation. Too early to say."

"This global mathematics and science education research represents a rich range of learning theories, pedagogies, conceptual and affective outcomes, and purposes. The evidence in this literature overwhelmingly rejects the inquiry/direct instruction binary that underpins the AERO model. Further, the real challenge with learning concepts like force, image formation, probability or fractional operations has less to do with managing memory than with arranging the world to be seen in new ways."

[#]NotMyKing

'You committed genocide against our people. Give us our land back. Give us what you stole from us — our bones, our skulls, our babies, our people. You destroyed our land. Give us a treaty. You are not our King.'

Article Quote:

"Everything Thorpe said to King Charles was profoundly true. The Australian colonies were founded on stolen land, steeped in the blood of those who had lived here for millennia by those who forged new societies in the name of the Crown Charles now wears. Not much respect shown by the Crown during Settlement. It is in the Crown’s name too that so many First Nations’ people are enthusiastically pursued by our contemporary legal system – subjected to brutal over-policing, incarcerated in wildly disproportionate numbers, dying in custody with heartbreaking regularity.

Thorpe’s loud targeted protest was reported across the world as the global press wrote of our “complex and challenging history”. Despite Watt’s demurral, her words made a huge impact, proving much more effective when shouted in person than in the pages of the three “respectful” letters Thorpe wrote to Charles in advance of the Royal Tour – letters he ignored in which she asked for a meeting to discuss the issues she later raised in Parliament’s Great Hall, including the repatriation of Aboriginal remains still languishing in institutions across the UK."

Are we now gaslighting teacher expertise? - By Phillip Poulton

"... mistrust in teachers’ knowledge and professional judgement is rife, disguised among seemingly innocent concerns for lessening the curriculum ‘burden’ on teachers’ workloads. This is nothing more than gaslighting; an attempt to convince teachers that they lack the required capacity to make such decisions or are too busy for curriculum matters and therefore it is ok for this important work to be outsourced to others. In reality, teachers value this curriculum work highly. They want more time for collaborative planning with their colleagues – not less, not outsourced. "
