We recently had a question about the daily active #OpenStreetMap contributors. On weekdays, there are approximately 6,000 contributors worldwide. They add around 1.6 million nodes, modify about 350,000, and delete around 250,000 nodes.

When You process data in #QGIS do You often see "Please fix the geometry" or "No spatial index exists for input layer, performance will be severely degraded"?

I workaround this by

1. Running a short processing model for all data I import into QGIS that does: FIX, reproject, calculate spatial index

2. Create my own models for the most common QGIS processing tools, like clip, that does the preprocessing for all the input layers

One highlight: New ‘Calculate expression’ algorithm for use in models

The new “Calculate expression” algorithm will calculate the results of a QGIS expression and make the result available for use in other parts of the model.

It avoids the need to use the same expression multiple times throughout a model if the same result needs to be used more than once and provides additional use cases.

Deep dive into #QGIS raster tools today! 🌍 I'm impressed with the Zonal histogram tool. It smartly appends fields with counts of each unique raster value found within defined polygon zones.📊 Such a useful feature! Still, I'm wondering why there isn't a direct counterpart for vector features. Anyone else noticed this? Would love to hear your thoughts or workarounds! #GISchat

Just discovered the "Raster Layer Unique Values Report" tool in #QGIS. It provides counts & areas of unique values for raster layers. Amazingly fast — only 7 seconds for a global 1x1Km raster! 💡🌍
