Estou a trabalhar com developers que não são nativos em Inglês, ou o seu nível não é super proficiente.

Começaram a digerir e mutilar as suas mensagens directas, pessoais e genuinas (apesar do "broken english") com o chatGPT e a mandarem mensagens plásticas e totalmente "corporate BS", em que 50% é encher chouriços.

Tenho de andar 1 a 1 a dizer-lhes que prefiro as mensagens originais.

RIP comunicação genuina :(

One should not judge a moth for being attracted to the flame. People flocking to Rednote are probably just seeking their dopamine fix, and addicts are rarely rational.

How we got here is a more interesting question. How did we become so addicted to dopamine slot machines, and how do we still downplay it so much?

"Oh the internet is not an addiction, it doesn't have the consequences like other addictions". What if the consequences are societal, and not individual? Mental and not physical.

Uma das coisas que me continua a fascinar aqui pelo norte é... gelo.

Desde que descobri, inocentemente, que se conseguia ver cristais de neve a olho nu há 10 anos, até ao "candle ice" na primavera.

Na semana passada encontrei a mãe de todos os cristais de gelo, que cresceu de um ponto único em padrão hexagonal (segunda foto) na superfície de um recipiente com água. 🤯

Quem pensou "é apenas gelo", é favor deixar de seguir :)
