Brussels Airport accidentally became my co-working space today; I arrived right as my plane started boarding and apparently forgot to check in. I guess I'll see you tomorrow, California

"Somehow, some way, Edge has over 30% market share in the US on Windows—and has taken share for over 3 years"

They've been doing some shady shit over the past 3 years to get those users. A recent case in point https://www.techradar.com/computing/windows/microsofts-helpful-edge-pop-up-strikes-again-and-its-long-past-time-for-a-chat-about-boundaries

Social media is weird and confusing. I have enough trouble living my own life, I don't know how you meaningful post about it in a way that isn't at least a little bit of a put on

I say that because when I try to wear the glasses normally, both eyes have significant blurring and some color separation on the far left and rights sides of the display

If I instead hold the glasses in front of one eye and move them around until I can see all four corners of the as clearly as possible, I have to shift the glasses over ~1 cm for each eye, and obviously I can't do that for both eyes simultaneously

I should acknowledge up top that this may well be a me problem, as in maybe glasses inserts would solve this problem

That said, I haven't worn glasses with any other VR/XR hardware and i haven't been this affected before. Perhaps the single largest issue I'm having is that I think my eyes are further apart than this hardware was designed to support.

I want to like the Viture XR Pro glasses, but the amount of eye strain they're giving me makes that very hard

Accidentally ended up spending my morning commute learning to use Talkback on Android. (Why is Google docs why are so hostile to basic accessibility features like "Select to Speak"!?)

As frustrating as the experience has been, one thing I really like is that as you scroll through a list, you get a regular series of tones that indicate your position in the list. Scroll down the tones get lower, scroll up and they get higher. Tones range is fixed, allowing you to hear a lists' size

If you absolutely decimate a public toilet, it is your civic duty to at least try to clean it up enough that the next person doesn't immediately back out of the stall

I've been putting off learning grid for too long and I thought I finally had a solid use case for it. To hell with all this fancy layout stuff, I'm just going to use tables and floats
