Alt text used to appear on Mastodon photo previews when you hold your mouse cursor over them. That's been removed in the latest version in favour of clicking the "alt" icon. It was jarring enough for me to consider it a bug:

Are there any open source tools for audio noise generation (the kind of noise some people like to fall asleep/study/work to)? I couldn't find any when I searched but it seems like the kind of thing there would be an open source project for.
(And yes I'm sure I could pipe /dev/random into my audio sink but that's not exactly configurable.)
