A business I bought something from is ghosting me after requesting an exchange. I got one message telling me they're on holidays and will be back next week, and then no responses for the past month. The business is registered to a "Michael Dafo" in NSW, so I wouldn't have expected it to be a scam or anything but it feels pretty close. What do you even do?

I was lamenting with the lunch crew about how ordering is all QR codes nowadays. But as the waiter ushers us to our table they hand me actual honest to goodness leatherbound tome. It's delightfully weighty and I run my finger over the stitching, appreciating the human touch. But the whimsy dies when I open it and I find, flicking through the pages, that each has the same preamble: “by reading this menu you consent to sharing your information with us and our 4,297 partners…”
