Today, we’re looking at how to clear reverb tails or buffers in #Bitwig The goal is to keep the reverb tail clean. Fast sequences often overload the reverb and muddy up the mix. With this trick, we can replace the Silencer VST and keep our reverb clean.

Here are more experiments from today’s #bitwig comb filter tutorial. It’s a bit like tuning a radio... you keep finding those sweet spots that reveal interesting sounds and sometimes even sequences. I definitely need to explore this further! #musodon

Today, we’re taking a look at sounds in Bitwig Why can the brain distinguish between individual sounds and chords? And how can we influence that? Often, we want to use sounds together as chords, but sometimes it just doesn’t work because it sounds too chaotic.

I’ve gotten a lot of requests to try and recreate Elevate by Newfangled Audio in Bitwig, and here I am, giving it a shot—and honestly, it’s a tough challenge. Elevate is a highly regarded and beloved mastering multiband limiter. Many Linux users, however, would love to use it, but since iLok isn’t available on Linux, they’ve been searching for an alternative.

It's true, you can actually make music with #Bitwig, which I'm trying to demonstrate in this video—everything from scratch. I'm using hardly any samples and keeping it as simple and straightforward as possible.

Today, I'm taking a quick look back at Bitwig in 2024 and also forward to what 2025 might bring. I'll cover some missing features that are still annoying, along with a few things that frustrate or confuse me. It's time for a State of Bitwig video, and I want to hear from you: What did you like, or not like, about Bitwig last year?

I see a lot of people saying they’re moving to BlueSky now. But in the end, BlueSky is still an American company that will have to comply with laws sooner or later. It might look better there right now, but that can change at any time. Just look at Meta & zuck, it shows how quickly things can shift. #bluesky #meta #zuckerberg

Here is an idea for the EU:
1.) ban tiktok
2.) ban meta
3.) ban alphabet
4.) ban Amazon
5.) let them pay
6.) use the money to build infrastructure

Today I’ll show you how to build a step recorder in Bitwig Studio. For that, I’ll be using the Note Grid and a handful of modules to explain the process. I’ll try to keep things as simple as possible while also pointing out the pros and cons, as well as where you can take the patch in different directions.
