Nerves a bit frazzled, so starting the day quiet. A modern classic? If I hadn't heard it before, I'd have guessed it was released in the late 70s/early 80s by Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Daniel Lanois or some other early #ambient artist.

As I was going to the shower, I tossed a bundled pair of socks from my office doorway onto my desk.

After my shower, I couldn't find the socks. Not on the desk, chair or floor...

I eventually found them (steeping) in my full tea cup.

My TV service before Google took over: I turn on the TV. All channels appear instantly.

My TV service since Google took over: I turn on the TV. "Loading Data..." (3 mins). Screensaver appears. 2+ clicks to make it go away. 'Login now'. I decline. Twice. I finally get access to the channels (login is not required despite the implication that it is). 'Login now?' I decline. 'See updated terms: You acknowledge that we may collect data about you via your TV's onboard cam/mic.' 'Login NOW, OK?'

[#]NowPlaying one of my favourites by Coleman. It integrates his various avant-garde aspects: #jazz 4tet plus his composition work for chamber orchestra. Pharoah Sanders contributing is the cherry on the cake. Written as a film score but rejected because "its inherent beauty might detract from the film"

I think people look at me strangely when I'm taking photographs of stairwells. If you get the angles just so, there's something almost Piranesi or Escher about them.

Taken yesterday at the Franz Gertsch Museum in Burgdorf.

Video game developers need to do something about the sense of isolation that players feel at the end of open-world, 3rd-person adventure games. With the main story over, the vast world, empty of side quests, challenges & characters, becomes a lonely place. Even characters with whom you collaborated so closely for weeks now distance themselves; they either fob you off "I can't talk right now, come back later", or they ignore you entirely, seemingly unaware of your presence.
