I have started work on a new Gemini browser: Major Tom, space traveler for the SmolWeb!
=> Major Tom using the Dracula Theme | Screen shot of Major Tom
The goal is to be simply the best, most native Gemini client for macOS. Or, put another way, make a Mac-assed Mac App
=> Mac-Assed Mac Apps (Daring Fireball)
What does that mean? Native buttons, iconography, fonts and styles. Windows and settings screens. Integration into accessiblity APIs. Native context menus with options like "Look Up" "Translate" the new "Writing Tools" and "Services"
Certainly have a ways to go! I haven't build a GUI app from scratch in a good decade, but this seems like a fun project! Tabs and Windows, bookmarks, history, cache, favicons, tabs and windows. I also think there is a number of things I also am interest with what I can do with all the knowledge I have about Gemini Space from running a search engine and Delorean, the Wayback machine for Gemini: For example, I already know what valid certificate fingerprints look like. Perhaps suggesting cached versions with a capsule is offline?
I'm not ready to start having public releases yet, but will post more soon. In the mean time, if you use a Mac (or even iOS) give me ideas about what you would want.
oh, and obviously:
Trying to relax, up in the capsule, "Send me up a drink," jokes Major Tom. The count goes on.

I'm sad that this will be mac-only, mainly because I would have loved to try it, but very glad you are doing accessibility APIs. Lots of gemini browsers don't put much emphasis into that.

neat! reminds me that I hope someone forks Buran one day.
Buran was a fork of the Space Shuttle way before open source hardware was a thing. Soviets were so ahead of the times
And yes, some of us do not like Apple or its consumer-is-a-moron, racist and bigoted policies.
Although I do not use Macintosh, I might think that perhaps it should be compatible with AppleScript
