The Cubs they won that little game

I didn't think they would.

They played their best once again

and they wacked it with their wood.

They used their bats on the small balls

and they ran on to home.

That's as much as I know

of baseball, but it's how it goes.

I think baseball is a game

and it makes a lot of buck

and the bucks they don't stop

until they've gone to the top

to select the best players

they fight really with tooth and nail

but I suppose that's how it goes.

It's capitalism's woes.

I thought that the Cubs would not win

but hey, you know, they did.

I've been betting on their loss

since I was a little kid.

It was easy, you know

because they've always lost the games

but today I've lost my shirt

so that is why I complain.

But you know that so many people

wanted to see them

win a game once in their lifetimes

since they were just a kid.

They've often wanted to watch games

and that is how it goes.

They love the Cubs for some reason

or that's what I suppose.
