But I am still up, polishing up this little capsule.
I have been really busy with it lately. I swapped out the server for gmid [1] because it has CGI support, while also being fairly fast and minimal, it being written in C. It took me a while to get fastcgi going as well with it, perhaps I will write a follow-up to my previous article about "how you got here".
Then I started to teach myself a bit more Python "proper" because I wanted to write some CGI scripts quickly in order to power this blog. Gmid is lovely for its simple features like directory listing and stuff, but the formatting wasn't the greatest, and I also wanted to add a few other things. I have created new styles for dir listing, with document previews, approximate reading time, and solved way too many little tasks in the process, like, "proper" title case, or getting using pretty (?) dates with Unicode superscript ordinals... All neccessary!
But I am up late again after a very tiring day, and just wanted to give a brief update on what I've been up to apart from the above:
