What is Gemini?

You're actually using it right now! Gemini is an alternative protocol for creating websites. It's designed to be small and to be easy for computers to handle. It fits perfectly with the goals of this server. If you'd like to learn more, take a look at the protocol's website:

If you'd like to create your own website or a blog (or gemlogs as people call them) on gemini, you can start writing in the "pub_gemini" directory right in your home directory. Once you save it, it'll show up on gemini://twentytwo.town/~your-username.

Here are the steps:

1. Create a file called "index.gmi" in the "~/pub_gemini" directory.

2. Write a few words in it.

3. Check out your website on gemini://twentytwo.town/~your-username!
