DEMODE, or démodé when spelled correctly, means outdated, no longer in fashion.

DOBBY, when capitalized, is the house elf. Otherwise it's a part of a loom.

MODEM I have an issue with, as it is really an acronym for MODulater/DEModulator, but it has entered common usage as 'modem', and is so listed in all dictionaries. It is apparently a verb as well. I will modem you the files, sir.

ODYSSEY has become a generic term of a drawn-out voyage with many changes of fortune... No longer capitalized, unless referring to Homer's Odyssey.

SODOMY: I was curious about the actual definition.

M.W. :anal or oral copulation with a member of the same or opposite sex also :copulation with an animal. Dictionary.com adds homosexuality as #2, moving bestiality to #3. Freedictionary.com is a treasure-trove for sodomites, adding rape to the menu:
