C.S. Lewis wrote a whole book on this, "Studies in Words" (1960), and you can probably find Roman and older sources complaining about the kids these days. Future generations (assuming they exist) will doubtless continue this tradition, alongside the tradition of drifting the meanings of words in the most abhorent and unnatural of ways.
