I’m getting tired of manually extracting MMS content, once I get the chance, I’m going back to SXMO as my base image, as I’ve basically recreated a lot of what it does. But instead of using that Sway stuff, I’m going to put BSPWM on there along with my scripts. Then I’ll be able to leverage the excellent work others have already done for power management and UI stuff having to do with the phone parts that I really don’t care about.
I’ll also be moving my messaging to a different system so that the phone can be allowed to sleep. Then I’ll just have an SMS alert my phone, which will wake the screen, and refresh the tunnel to where my new messages are waiting. Since it’s the same arch, I’m going to run them on my PineBook Pro. I just have to set up a mesh vpn or something so everything can find everything else, even behind NAT. But more on that sometime in the future.
