# On creating useless things
As an engineer, I enjoy solving problems and creating things that have practical value, which can also provide a decent lifestyle for my family.
As a creator/artisan, I also find joy in making things that may not necessarily solve a specific problem. I allow my imagination to flow freely and practice by engaging in activities that 'may' benefit me (or someone else) in the future.
The challenge is balancing both roles at once.
