Hey all - any polish speakers here? I am trying to create a 3-letter code for each major city in the world, and I'm stuck on Łódź. should i use WCH (my best guess for phonetic) or LDZ (orthographic) or something else?

@danrl @aelspire Thank you both! I'll be using LDZ · 1 year ago

orthographic works better in lists when the target audience doesn’t necessarily speak the language or knows about the phonetic order. · 1 year ago

I would use LDZ. Common practice here is to replace polish characters with their latin base ones when they are unavailable. · 1 year ago
