Dot matrix printers: Does anyone else use a dot matrix printer under Linux (maybe Debian). Would like to buy a used one and would be interested in recommendations. E.g. specifically which drivers work / out of the box too. I need the printer for an experimental art project ( digital drypoint etching). Thanks in advance.

@darkghost Thanks, I'll have a look at it. I'll have to decide between Epson, OKI and NEC. And what you can get used online. It starts at +- 80 euros here in Germany. ยท 10 months ago

I've had luck with an OkiData ML-186. Works with the dedicated driver or the generic 9 pin dot matrix driver. Has USB, serial, and parallel interfaces. ยท 10 months ago
