An old man sat next to me in the coffee shop. He ordered a coffee and just sat there drinking it. No newspaper, no phone โ€“ just sat there on his own with his thoughts. Honestly, that's goals. I feel bad even writing this now.

I never touch my phone outside, as as rule, unless I'm checking for bus routes. It's my small rebellion against the world. ยท 11 months ago

I actually used to do that a lot, before phones. I could sit at my house after school and just stare out the window at the trees. but now when you do that and you're not 80, people wonder. not that it matters that they do, but it's noticeable.

I read somewhere that daydreaming and wandering thoughts like that were healthy.

phones make sitting with nothing to do feel wrong. ยท 11 months ago
