The advantage of building more slowly but with a big focus on keeping it simple is that I’m returning to some code without any doubts or desire to change it to keep up with some trend or major version release of a framework. Good feeling.

Agreed! There’s something cozy about writing bash scripts, doing Linux server maintenance, throwing PHP files in /var/www. It may not be the latest Docker driven/React/Rust/AWS stack, but it works and it brings the fun back to coding. · 2 years ago
