I just took some time to look at Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, and some nebulas through a telescope. The Copernican moons of Jupiter are on a nice display, Titan is quite far from Saturn, and Venus is looking all alone by comparison. The Pleiades star cluster is visible to the naked eye and is quite spectacular through the telescope.

Looking at Venus, it is half in shadow. It's amazing to be able to see that from my humble setup in my back yard. 路 15 hours ago

The more I look up, the better I feel. Venus in particular has been quite dramatic lately. 路 17 hours ago

There's nothing that compares to seeing the heavens with a telescope. I remember feeling a sense of depth when my daughter and I set up a cheap telescope, one night, to see the seven sisters and jupiter's moons. 路 2 weeks ago

Unfortunately the clouds rolled in before Orion rose. Tomorrow! 路 2 weeks ago

The Pleiades is amazing, it's by far my favorite night sky object. I also like the Orion Nebula, it's always amazing to think that it's visible with the naked eye (even in relatively bright skies) 路 2 weeks ago
