that is what i struggle with: everyone wants to live in peace, but there is always war. i think it comes down to what people are (or have been) convinced they need to die for. for example, resource conflicts can stand in the way of peaceful life and then you need to secure the resources to get back to your peaceful life, which may disturb the nexts persons peaceful life. there is a huge disconnect from what we individually want and where we collectively end up. · 3 months ago

But safety is desired by everyone. So war that endangers everyone should not be favored by populations of both parties.

Things like religion, crime and propaganda however, can force many people to think in ways of war. · 3 months ago
