ChatGPT grew on me quite a bit in the last weeks. I'm well aware it's "just" an LLM. But I certainly enjoy being able to bounce of deeply technical questions of it. Yes, some of the responses are not spot on but they are at least always educational and open new perspectives most of the time. I'm learning a lot from it and don't feel like wasting time phrasing good and very specific questions. Should I start worrying about my social life?

You could also try https://ollama.com for a locally run LLM AI. It supports different models which you can download. I have good results with the model llama3.1:8b. · 3 months ago

@captainrantcraft I find that it has it's uses, but that a lot of people don't understand those uses. 😂

It has become my go to, when duckduck makes stuff too hard to find, if it's stuff I am not too knowledgeable about, I ask it for sources and check them.

I have on many occasions had it go off on a coke fueled fever dream and just invent stuff. 😂 · 3 months ago
