I guess answer is "cuz I don't use it". Most FOSS projects are stuff that developers use day to day. nvim, linux, *BSD, Gnome, KDE, a million different web frameworks, etc.. It's very hard to keep contributors engaged if they never find what they wrote useful or challenging.. I also wish more people could work on GIMP.

I wonder if there's a way to convince investors and managment to open source the project they invest.. ยท 2 years ago
