reading torrey peters's detransition, baby

=> https://transreads.org/detransition-baby-a-novel/

since i have time, and it's really engaging so far. i'm on page 88 right now, and there's so much richness to reese and amy. i really wanna finish it, so i can scroll through archived experiences of people who read it. i usually see novels pre-page 100 as undeveloped, where the plot and characters are very one-dimensional. this is way different.

i've searched up at least 40 words by now, previously forgotten or unknown to my vocabulary, from sangfroid to grandiloquence. i also learned why "ruminate" is the word it is. kinda miffed about the casual, yet hindering style. i'm here to see if reese is gonna have the baby motherhood she's always wanted, if katrina accepts the bizarre plan amy has vaguely strategized, if amy is gonna retransition, not highlight => kebab menu => search privately each strange word, creating dozens of tabs to trash - which is at least a step up from when i manually x'd each dictionary rich result. but i did want to expand my vocab, i guess. sidenote: seeing the word "xtina" for christina is making me unwell. and are there really "trans lady picnics"??

i have also decided to give up supercollider in favor of tidal cycles, but i can't say when i'll start working on that.
