Ghost

This word-game will entertain 4-8 people for up to 30 minutes.

1. Take turns, in order, to say a letter, which begins to spell a word.

2. If you complete a word of 4 or more letters, you lose a point, and the round starts again with the next player.

3. If anyone has more points than everyone else, they win.

Words are Words

If the letters start:

    player 1) 'b'
    player 2) 'l'
    player 3) 'a'
    player 4) 'm'
    player 5) 'e'

...then whoever said 'e' has lost a point. They might have been thinking of going for 'blameworthy', but 'blame' is a word of more than 3 letters, so the point is lost, and the round is over.

Challenging the Impossible

If you get a series of letters which cannot make a word, you can challenge the person before you.

    player 1) 'b'
    player 2) 'l'
    player 3) 'a'
    player 4) 't'
    player 5) 'h'

At this point, player 6 might say 'challenge', so player 5 has to think of a word which starts 'b, l, a, t, h'.

If player 5 is stumped, they lose a point.

Otherwise, player 6 loses a point.
