Moment

I'm not a poet but I'll try like all the rest,
to capture a moment in words,
to make other minds understand.

the scene,
the feelings,
the scents,
the sounds,

to minds that will never understand.
to minds that weren't there.
to minds in half attendance.
to minds that will warp and appropriate the prose.

into their own beliefs
into their own mindset,
into their own biases,
into their own art.
