2021-12-21 04:07:50 goodmorning all
2021-12-21 04:08:12 been using unu at work crc! love that tool
2021-12-21 04:09:47 good morning WilhelmVonWeiner
2021-12-21 04:14:43 have you ever used org-mode?
2021-12-21 04:41:43 no, iirc that's an emacs thing and I don't use emacs
2021-12-21 05:00:21 I think it's worth installing to try out. unu reminds me of this tool "org-babel" which is great for literate programming, it can extract different blocks to different files.
2021-12-21 05:06:39 org-mode is alright
2021-12-21 05:20:09 I stopped using emacs when my RSI issues began becoming a problem many years ago; haven't revisited it. It might be easier now if I can come up with a keymap that lets me avoid too much use of modifier keys.
2021-12-21 05:20:49 crc: you can try evil-mode which gives vim-like binds.
2021-12-21 05:32:50 I'd still need to work on a keyboard layout; things like esc for mode switching aren't exactly convenient with my current layout, and vim's default key bindings weren't made with dvorak in mind.
2021-12-21 05:33:09 ACTION will look into this sometime...

2021-12-21 05:39:35 this is what i've been doing with unu anyway except without extracting to different files.
2021-12-21 05:42:04 dvorak! You really are a true hacker lol
2021-12-21 05:57:43 veltas: I like dvorak; for most purposes it's much more comfortable for me than qwerty
2021-12-21 06:10:56 Yeah but I can't imagine ever wanting to learn to type again
2021-12-21 06:11:16 But I guess it's like "I can't imagine ever wanting to learn to write FORTH" etc
2021-12-21 06:51:19 for me it was worth the effort as it's one of several things that's helped me continue to be able to use a computer. (my rsi had become bad enough that I couldn't type more than a few words without significant problems)
2021-12-21 08:01:22 Interesting, maybe I'd learn it in that situation
