A poetry recital

Dear friends and enemies, we live in interesting times. One must be so careful with words. I shall read a few poems that I've written almost all by myself.

This is how I introduced a recent performance at one of those full night events that opened at 10 pm, supposed to go on till six in the morning, except that by 7 am the last act hadn't even entered the stage and I felt compelled to leave. I was fortunate to be scheduled a few hours earlier.

In my reading I used some simple props and small instruments to demarcate the sections within or between poems: a slide whistle, siren, dog whistle, bells, a metronome, and a harmonica.

I'm reading the text with a slight accent, which is hard for anyone to avoid in this quasi-language that picks up elements from various European languages. Here I'd like to share just one short poem from a recording I did while practicing for the recital. I'm sharing it as an uncompressed 32 kHz 8 bit mono file, flac doesn't make it any smaller.
