Single feed? Multiple feeds?

So I don't know if this is a good idea or a terrible one, but recently I've been liking a lot (and re-discovering actually) feeds. What's so good with them is that I can follow anyone I want as long as they have a feed. I can have my own timeline of people I enjoy reading. It's social media 2.0 without the problems. Sorry I might sound a little over enthusiastic but it's crazy good!

I know I only publish within a single feed, and I've been thinking about using potentially multiple ones. One feed would be the "general" one that collects everything I write. One can be only short updates (status updates?), another one can be answers to other posts, another one can be longer form.

One benefit of having multiple feeds would be to control what's shared where. As an example all my posts are published on Nightfall City. If I had a specific feed for it, then I could decide which ones I want to publish there.
