I wish to contribute in some way to a world that is kinder, more compassionate, more understanding, more curious, before senescence renders me an old man waltzing with ghosts of memories misremembered.

30,000. If you live to be eighty-two years old, you get 30,000 sunrises and 30,000 sunsets. I'm a little less than halfway through; when I witness my last sunset, I hope that it'll be on a world I've helped make better, even if it's only the tiny little corner of the world I inhabit.

I hope the time I spend here is a joy for myself and for those who meet me.
