I miss taking the "Metro North" into NYC. Never for work, though, as I worked locally then. Just for the joy/excitement of the NYC of then.

What a shame it's these days reportedly mostly a place to go to get violated. I mean, not that I believe "the media" (see also: "The Make Shit Up For Profit Industry") much anymore. But such devolution is pretty easy to imagine in this part of the world, so....

I take the metro north a few times a week- it's not so bad, much better than the subway, and that's coming from a habitual denizen of the 2 a.m. train (definitely an interesting experience). never gotten harassed, even when dressed for raves or punk shows. good people watching.
