Learning folk songs is great fun. Now if I only were to do my homework to study them. The tempo for the melody lines are quite something, but that's primo practice goals to strive towards.

I got to try a bodhrán today. It's a drum, sure, but there's something cool about it being handheld. I was shown a little of its technique, how to alter the sound and how to strike it. Very cool!

My fingers ache. The guitar takes its toll.
