my great grandmother wrote poetry. i’ve never been able to read a lot of it before, because it always involved a painstaking google translate process from German to English, but i was able to translate some today thanks to a image-to-text translate feature i was previously unaware of.
this one really hit me. i always wondered how she felt about immigrating from Austria to the US - which she did before wwii - now i know

last one. this was a short story she wrote about an event from her life; I translated it with google translate some years ago. yeah she says g**** but please forgive her she wrote it in the 70s.
