@L1vY @taniel@journa.host Fine, then the individual states can swoop in and take them over, then continue business as usual — cutting the federal government out of the picture entirely, and making sure they don’t get one red cent.

It’s time for states to start saying “you can’t fire us, we quit”.

@gregly No actually the money is federal so tRump hoovers it up. The properties are sold to oligarchs who also make a profit. The states are left with citizens who have to pay more to get services. It’s beyond sick.

@Pineywoozle Oh yeah, I know — which is why I say the states should seize the properties outright, and cease providing any funds to the federal government. I mean, why not? After all, laws mean nothing now, right? Civil norms are out the window!

This is all unserious cynicism to deal with this insanity, of course. And any state that currently gets more in federal funds than they provide would be utterly screwed.
