Working on my slides for my upcoming Introduction to Spatial Data and R as a GIS course on #InStats next month. I'll be talking about Classification and why the colours and classes we choose for a map is important, which gives me the chance to show this great graphic from James Cheshire https://theconversation.com/next-slide-please-data-visualisation-expert-on-whats-wrong-with-the-uk-governments-coronavirus-charts-149329, more details at https://instats.org/seminar/introduction-to-spatial-data-and-r-as-a-2 #GISchat

@jonjoncardoso @alexei You're welcome! Thanks both, great to hear you are using it too :-)
Although every time I present it, I wonder, is it getting too old yet?! (it is from 31/Oct/2020) but I have yet to find a better example!

@nickbearman @jonjoncardoso I don't think it's too old - we still use the John Snow map as an example! - but it would be nice to have examples from outside the UK for people not familiar with our (complex) admin geography
